JOHN WILKES BOOTH was an American stage actor who assassinated Abraham Lincoln at Ford's Theatre, in Washington, D.C. He was outraged by the South's defeat in the American Civil War and strongly opposed the abolition of slavery in the United States and Lincoln's proposal to extend voting rights to recently emancipated slaves.

Recording work includes: Original cast album of 'Miss Saigon', the symphonic version of 'Les Misérables', 'Les Misérables' 10th Anniversary Concert, Original London Palladium cast album of 'Scrooge' with Tommy Steele, 'A Night at the Musicals' (Royal Philharmonic Orchestra), Judas in 'Godspell', Freddy in 'My Fair Lady', Tony in 'The Boyfriend', the Russian in 'Chess' and Ravenal in 'Showboat'.

Glyn is also a songwriter/composer having written numerous original songs. He recently composed the music for a thriller entitled 'Deadly Murder' at The Mill at Sonning, starring Rula Lenska, directed by David Taylor and has also written a musical for children entitled 'Haunted'.
